The Big Interview

By Libby Kirsch

Genre: Mystery, Chick Lit, Cozy Mystery

Yay! I was super excited when Libby Kirsch contacted me about her newest book! I loved her first book in this series- The Big Lead. You can read my review of it here. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. 4/5 stars! Stella has left the small town of Boze to move to the larger town of Bristol. Things with John are shaky- with their opposite work schedules, the two just aren’t talking. Enter the handsome Nascar driver- Lucky. Stella is just starting to know him when a tragedy occurs. Stella goes into investigative mode once again to uncover what is really behind the “accident.”

I loved this book! Stella is such an awesome character! She is relatable, adorable, and you’re cheering for her every step of the way! I love that these books put her out of her element, into a new situation, and she has to learn how to handle them. She is only 23 and has a lot of responsibility at her new job. It’s something I can totally relate to and the whole “fake it ’til you make it” thing.

Lucky is a total charmer and I was surprised that I didn’t miss the love interest of the last book- John- very much. She even ends up re-connecting with Janet, the hilarious hotel neighbor from the last book! There were a lot of interesting characters at Stella’s new job and her new, nosy neighbor was also a fun addition.

The mystery was well-done, yet again. I love reading about every step of Stella’s investigative process. I didn’t know exactly what was going to happen until it was all revealed, but it was well-foreshadowed. This book was exciting and I read it very quickly because I wanted to find out who was behind the “accident!” Just like Stella, I had no idea how her big interview would end until it happened! The book had a very satisfying conclusion.

At the end, a sneak peek of the next book is given. Ahhhh, it sounds so good! I can’t wait to read more about Stella’s adventures! I totally recommend this book to fans of books that mix chick lit and mystery!

Purchase it here: at the end of the month!

P.S. Aren’t these book covers just the cutest?? They totally draw me in!
