Right Under Your Nose Review
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. 3/5 stars! Right Under Your Nose is a sweet, holiday novella. Ariadne recently walked in on her boyfriend cheating on her and in her anger, she has decided not to celebrate Christmas. She just can’t see anything worth celebrating. Meanwhile, Ariadne’s best friend from childhood, Jess, has a new girlfriend who she doesn’t believe is good news for him. When it’s revealed that Jess’s girlfriend is friend’s with Ariadne’s ex’s mistress, she becomes even more suspicious. Throughout all this, Jess and Ariadne discover a little bookstore called Right Under Your Nose that has all sorts of sweet surprises.
I liked that this book helped me to get into the holiday spirit. I thought Jess and Ariadne had a very sweet friendship. I liked Ariadne’s family and her conversations with them could be hilarious. I loved the owner of Right Under Your Nose and thought he was a very sweet old man. There was a little bit of mystery to this story as Ariadne thinks Jess’s girlfriend is purposely messing with her and you’re left to wonder if Ariadne is right or going crazy. There is also a mystery as to the bookstore, which Jess and Ariadne have never noticed before.
At times, Ariadne did annoy me because she couldn’t see what was going on “right under her nose!” (See what I did there?) However, that was the whole point of the story. I really loved the ending to this book. It was very warm-hearted and sweet. Overall, I would recommend this story for those who love holiday novellas!
