Chick Lit Chickadees is a book blog started by two book fanatic friends who, despite different tastes in literature, are united in their love of a good novel.

Reviews typically consist of a picture of the novel, a description of the story (either quoted from the blurb on Amazon or summarized by us), and our thoughts on the book. Because of this, we cannot guarantee a positive review. Reviews are posted here on the blog, and short versions can often be found on Goodreads and Amazon.

Elizabeth’s preferred genres include: chick lit, British chick lit, mysteries, legal dramas, suspense/thrillers, some non-fiction (biographies, autobiographies, topics of interest), and Christian fiction. Elizabeth will not accept stories with graphic sex scenes.

Lindsey’s preferred genres include: chick lit, young adult fiction, paranormal, fantasy, and historical fiction.

We do not read erotica (although Lindsey HAS been known to read a smutty novel or two now and then!).

We do not read stories which contain unnecesary violence against women or rape as a means to move along the plot, or eliminate a potential love interest. (Come on, authors. Be more creative than that.)

If you would like to request a review, guest blog post, or author interview, please email us at chicklitchickadees(at)gmail(dot)com.

We would like to reiterate that we are not paid by authors or publishers for our reviews. We may receive a free copy of a book in exchange for a review, but reviews are 100% our personal, honest opinion!

We do, however, receive a small commission when purchases are made on Amazon through our site. This does not impact the authenticity of our reviews in any way.

  1. Hello Lindsey:
I think my novel, Tangled, a Southern Gothic Yarn, is the best fit for your interests. Would you be willing to do a review?

My author bio is included on the above Amazon page.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
