Happy New Year, Chickadees!
January is a time for fresh starts and new adventures. We certainly had our share of new beginnings and fun times!
Lindsey rescued a puppy shortly before Christmas, so her New Year began with puppy classes. Say hello to Buddy!
Elizabeth started out the New Year with a getaway with her husband to Palm Springs.
Lindsey and her hubby attended her friend Hannah’s wedding. (Remember Hannah from the Beautiful Oblivion author event?)
Elizabeth and her hubby frolicked and played at Disneyland. (And managed to escape the measles outbreak by a mere 9 days!)
Lindsey met Bob Goff, the best-selling author/speaker and diplomat from Uganda to the United States.
Elizabeth contracted both Strep AND Laryngitis.
At the same time that Lindsey was out with a vomit-inducing migraine.
Elizabeth and her husband tried out the new, fancy dine-in movie theater.
Busy this month? Missed a couple posts? No worries! We’ve got you covered! Below we’ve curated some of our January favorites!
Elizabeth was a reading MACHINE this month! With a goal of reading 100 books in 2015, she is well on her way with a whopping TEN BOOKS this month!
Lindsey, on the other hand, did NOT have such a great reading month. She blames working 6 days a week for the whole month of January for her lack of reading motivation. That, and the new puppy wreacking havoc on her sleep schedule. Here are her five finished books in January.
So many wonderful things appeared on the internets this month! Below are a few of our favorite articles over the course of January.
Dreaming and Doing
Tomorrow, February 1st, marks the beginning of Love Month. Hearts, roses, and kisses, oh my!
Of course there are lots of goals and plans for the month.
Now that Lindsey has a break from six day workweeks, she is hoping to FINALLY sit down and bust out her new lifestyle blog, documenting her journey of going green on a budget.
Also on Lindsey’s agenda is READING MORE BOOKS! 5 books in 31 days was just plain pathetic, and with the hope of her puppy soon sleeping through the night on a consistent basis, she may just have the mental energy to pick up a couple more books in February.
Her TBR list includes The Magiciansby Lev Grossman (a Christmas present from Kimmy, of the Maggie Stiefvater event fame), Interrutedby Jen Hatmaker (because Hatmaker is hilarious and she needs more nonfiction to diversify her reading), Shiverby Maggie Stiefvater (a Christmas gift from her in-laws), The Hooker and the Hermitby Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway (a trashy romance novel that she pre ordered that looks hysterical), and hopefully a couple of books on her “To-Read-And-Own” shelf that have been sitting there for FOREVER!
